Ms. Lauren Burdolski Taylor became intrigued with writing and film when
she was very young. In high school, she began writing her first
screenplay, "Resinous Bullets," after falling for
Quentin Tarantino.
She received a Bachelor of Arts from Westminster College studying
History, English, Communications and Fine Arts. In 2001, Lauren wrote
the film "Untitled" directed by Roger Erik Tinch. In 2003, she received
her Masters of Arts in History & Fine Arts from the University of
Missouri - Kansas City - with a thesis titled "The Horror Genre".
Lauren began teaching at the University of Missouri - Kansas City in
their Communiversity program. She has taught "Silent Horror Classics",
"They're Us: The Living Dead in Film", "Reflections of Society in the
Buffyverse", and "Reflections of Society in the Horror Genre".
Her horror series, "The Stricken Narrative" was released in 2009. "Book
One: Stricken" and "Book Two: Hinder" are available in stores.
