Nilay Majumder, also known as 'Neil', is a filmmaker and photographer based in Mumbai, India. He began his career as an assistant director in the Mumbai advertising industry and has worked with leading production houses such as Chrome Pictures and Rising Sun Films. During this time, he collaborated with directors including Shoojit Sircar, Amit Sharma, Hemant Bhandari.
In 2020, Nilay directed his first short film Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai, which was officially selected for the Lift-Off Global Network's First Time Filmmaker Sessions and featured as 'Short Film of the Day' on Shorted.
Currently, Neil is an integral part of the creative team at Sohum Shah Films.
