Dan (Demi) Wu is an animation filmmaker and creative designer from China. She graduated with a BA from the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts. She also graduated with an MA from the University of Arts London, with a distinction degree. She won the "Global Design Graduate Show 2022" in collaboration with Gucci. Her short film "Deadline" won the Gold Medal of the Chinese Academy.

Wu is the founder of Leader Visual and Demi Studio. She is passionate about expressing emotions and atmospheres, visualising words and abstract feelings. She is excellent at using animation to convey content and emotions, which achieves an emotional resonance with the audience.

Wu loves the animation industry. She has participated in pre-creative planning, storyboarding, character and scene design, art direction, 3D mapping, and post-compositing. She has over five years of experience in the animation industry. She can produce independently and has experience in teamwork for artistic short films.

Wu was the senior animator for Channel 5 (UK) TV series Pip Ahoy! (2014). Her short film "Liens Sea" which she made for Chaumet has received more than 20 million views. She has collaborated with The National Gallery to contribute paintings for Inside Out Festival. Her MA graduate work has been selected by over 20 film festivals so far.
