Andressa Lemos is a Brazilian actress and filmmaker based in Perth.
She is best known for her work on the short film COLD COFFEE, which she produced, directed, and starred in, using only an iPhone for filming and editing. The film was selected for the WA Made Film Festival 2021, competing in the Get Smart category for smartphone-produced films.
Additionally, she has a credit in Terror by Night: An Evenfall Story directed by Dean Butler.
Over the past few years, Andressa has focused on honing her craft, studying Screen Acting at the prestigious Ali Roberts Studio and training under renowned casting director and drama teacher Annie Murtagh-Monks. She has also studied the Fátima Toledo Acting Method, known for its application in acclaimed films like City of God and Central Station.
Andressa studied Screenwriting at Escola de Cinema Darcy Ribeiro in Rio de Janeiro from 2006 to 2007 before stepping away from film to explore new opportunities.
In 2020, she reignited her passion for cinematography by enrolling in a directing course at the New York Film Academy, enhancing her filmmaking skills.
Alongside her friend Ana Carolina Andrade, she co-founded the Instagram page Escalafobéticas, a platform dedicated to showcasing their projects, including reinterpretations of the Greek tragedies Antigone and Medea. They later created the Females XY series, featuring seven micro-episodes that explore the daily lives of women from Generations X and Y.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Andressa is proficient in Portuguese (her mother tongue), English, and Spanish, and has a solid understanding of Italian language and mannerisms.
She enjoys dancing samba and practicing Pilates.
Recently, Andressa produced the short film The Killer's Call, directed by Kapil Gadhvi, and she is currently developing her first feature film screenplay.
