Matthew Collins is an Oklahoma-based director, writer, and producer specializing in independent narrative film. With a background in broadcasting and music production, Collins brings a story-driven, rhythm-conscious approach to filmmaking that blends cinematic tension with emotional depth.
Originally from Broken Arrow and raised in Dewey, Oklahoma, Collins began his creative career in music before transitioning fully into film development. After earning degrees in Broadcasting and Music Production Business, he shifted his focus in 2021 to screenwriting and independent film production.
He made his directorial debut in the Oklahoma City 48 Hour Film Project with the horror short Last Call, marking the launch of his independent filmmaking career. Since then, Collins has continued developing original short films and proof-of-concept projects across psychological thriller, horror, sci-fi, but focuses on faith-based genres.
