Marion "Panda" Sistena was born in Los Angeles, California but has
lived most of his life in the Burbank/North Hollywood area. Surrounded
by the film industry, he would not have an interest in film making
until he was in the 7th grade. It was then he discovered a love for
editing while taking a class in videography. After middle school, he
took his love for editing to Grant High School's Communication
Technology Magnet where he was a student of their prestigious film
program. During his time at Grant, Marion edited and worked on numerous
award-winning shorts. His awards include two CINE Golden Eagles,
recognition by the National Student Television Awards, and numerous
California Student Media Festival; KLCS Video in the Classroom; and
International Student Media Festival awards. His work has been
showcased at student film festivals across the country and at the
Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Goldenson Theatre. Now
attending California State University Northridge, he is an active
student in the film program and is a valued assistant to the
Engineering department. In the summer of 2007, he will be an assistant
editor for an internationally syndicated show called "Hollywood on Set"
and editing some independent short projects.
