Robert Heydon is an award-winning filmmaker, producer, and director based in Toronto, Canada, with over two decades of experience spanning film, television, animation, and visual effects. As a Producer and Executive Producer Heydon has developed a reputation for merging creative vision with production innovation - from concept development and financing to delivery for global audiences.

In the animation sector, Heydon co-produced the internationally acclaimed children's television series Fox & Hare (2019), a 26-episode co-production based on the beloved European book series. The show was commissioned by Ketnet and KRO-NCRV and sold to broadcasters in over a dozen countries, including France, Finland, Poland, Hong Kong, and Québec. Through this and other projects, he has become a leader in developing cross-border co-productions and financing structures that maximize soft money, tax credits, and international distribution potential.

Heydon's recent producing and directing credits include Isabelle (2018), starring Adam Brody and Amanda Crew, which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival was sold by Lakeshore Entertainment and O.G. (2018), starring Jeffrey Wright, which screened at Tribeca where Wright won Best Actor, sold to HBO worldwide. His executive producing credits also include The Crescent (TIFF Midnight Madness 2017) and the hit television series The Pinkertons (2014-2015), a high-budget syndicated historical crime drama that aired across North America.

Earlier in his career, Heydon produced and directed Irvine Welsh's Ecstasy, based on the best-selling novel by the author of Trainspotting, and co-produced Go Further, starring Woody Harrelson, which earned the Audience Award Runner-Up at the Toronto International Film Festival. Before transitioning into long-form storytelling, he directed more than 100 music videos and commercials, winning a Juno Award for Best Music Video for Edwin's "Alive."
