At two months old, Colleen Broomall booked the role of Danielle
Andropolous on CBS's longstanding soap opera As The World Turns. During
her time on the show, she garnered a Soap Opera Digest Award nomination for
Best Child Actor. However, not soon after that, Colleen's parents
pulled her out of the business so that she could have a normal
childhood.
At age 12, she wrote a letter that was published
in The New York Times Magazine. Colleen went on to study Communications
at The University of Delaware and after her freshman year, she earned
an internship at a teen magazine, which led to several editorial
positions, including a gig as East Coast Correspondent for Tiger Beat
and BOP. Before graduating college, Colleen had already interviewed an
array of worldwide stars including Missy Elliot, Usher, and the
Backstreet Boys, and her story attracted media attention from
publications such as The Review, Soaps in Depth, and The New York
Press.
After college graduation, she accepted a full-time gig at Tiger Beat
and BOP, interviewing then-unknowns like Miley Cyrus, Zac Efron and the
Jonas Brothers. For several years, she was the Editor-in-Chief at Popstar magazine, but left the publication during the summer of 2015 in order to create, develop and launch a new digital platform for teens called YSBnow (You're So Beautiful Now.) Colleen regularly appears as a pop culture expert on syndicated radio and cable shows.
