Pearson was born and raised in Memphis TN., to Sam Pearson and Daisy Williams. His father was a construction worker and an ice and coal delivery man. His mother was a homemaker. Tony was a wrestler in high school until he suffered a knee injury. Soon after moving to Los Angeles he was discovered by the great Arnold Schwarzenegger at the famous muscle beach, California. Tony was inspired to become a professional bodybuilder within a few years he garnered the titles of Mr. America and Pro Mr. Universe. His career has extended over fifty years.
