He was born in Davao City, Philippines and moved to
the United States at the age of five. He grew up in New York City, Kennewick and
Seattle (Washington), and Los Angeles where he attended the Art Center College of
Design in Pasadena studying Transportation/Car Design. He is self
taught in 3D animation and visual development.
His main motivation is that he is doing this for his mother, Aurora, who passed away in from cancer 1991.
His first big job in the 3D animation industry was at Rhythm & Hues
Studios where he worked as a 3D modeler, technical director, and 2D
artist on various films, tv commercials, ride films, and video games.
He then worked at several visual effects houses as a Senior Modeler for Rhythm and Hues Studios, Walt Disney Feature Animation, Weta Digital in New Zealand, and Sony Pictures Imageworks on films such as Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Narnia, Surf's Up, The Polar Express, etc.
He then switched over to 3D Visual Development at Sony Pictures Animation working on films such as Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Hotel Transylvania, Mitchell's vs the Machines, etc.
In 2020 he moved on to Skydance Animation in Santa Monica, and has been working on several feature animation films as a 2D/3D Visual Development Artist such as Luck, Swapped (previously known as Pookoo), and is working on an unannounced feature animation.
