Born in Kharkiv, Ukraine (formerly USSR) and raised between Ukraine and Russia, Sasha Piltsin is an international actor and Russian/Ukrainian dialect coach for film and television, with over 25 years of professional experience in the film industry.
A graduate of Capilano University in Cinematography & Film (Vancouver, British Columbia), Sasha made his first guest-star appearance in 2000 on the popular CTV series Cold Squad, portraying Mikel, an NHL player targeted by organized crime. Since then, he has appeared in a wide range of principal roles across feature films, television series, and commercials produced in Canada and the United States.
Alongside his acting work, Sasha has built a respected career as a Russian and Ukrainian dialect coach, working with actors at all levels, including on major network and streaming productions. He is regularly seen on set in dual capacities, contributing both as an actor and as a dialect coach.
Sasha’s work as a dialect coach is grounded in his deep linguistic background and hands-on experience in translation, editing, and performance, with a particular emphasis on clarity, practicality, and actor-friendly application. His credits include Russian and Ukrainian language, dialogue, and accent coaching, as well as script and sides translation, voice-over coaching, and subtitle work.
