Afghan Actor Habib Mirzaee, best known for The Endless War 2023, was Born in Ghazni, Afghanistan. He was raised in a middle class Hazara Family alongside seven siblings; five sisters and two older brothers. Habib graduated Summa Cum laude from high school in 2016 and moved to the capital city of Afghanistan, Kabul, where he started exploring potential future career pathways. Despite his passion for professional acting since high school, he did not consider the art as a permanent future career. Being raised in a war-torn society that did not value art, his
hesitation led him to spending the next five years switching between several dissimilar pathways: medicine, teaching, boxing, bodybuilding, and training for the military. Eventually, through trial and error, the multiple paths he took led him back to acting.
In May 2021, Habib secured his first major screen role in the internationally acclaimed movie, The Endless War 2023. Directed by Nisar Bahaduri and produced by Shams Media Production. The Endless War 2023 is an Afghan feature film based on National Intelligence Security of Afghanistan and has an anti-terrorism content, specifically targeting the Taliban. This project was a collaboration between a group of cinema artists and National Directorate of Security of Afghanistan's former government. Habib plays an intelligence officer working alongside his team to prevent a suicide bombing attack that is planned to be carried out by a child in Kabul, Afghanistan.
On August 15, 2021, four months after signing contract and shooting several episodes, the Taliban returned to power after 20 years. After the fall of Kabul, Habib was forced to flee his country, leaving all his endeavors behind. After relentless years of practicing his English, in 2023, Habib was awarded the Canadian Scholarship for Refugees to attend York University for Cinema and Media Arts in hopes to resume his career in acting.
Habib currently (2025) works and lives in Toronto, Canada.
