Richard Ohene Bekoe, widely recognized in the Ghanaian media scene as Richie Whriter, is a distinguished screenwriter and film director. He is best known for his work on the award-winning TV drama series Heels and Sneakers, produced by the celebrated actress Yvonne Nelson. This series earned him a nomination for Best Writer at the 2017 Ghana Movie Awards, positioning him alongside renowned filmmakers like Shirley Frimpong Manso. Richard's journey into writing began in his teenage years, inspired by a teacher who saw his potential and encouraged him to write daily essays on a variety of topics. This formative experience not only ignited his passion for storytelling but also led him to a career in teaching, where he now helps others unlock their potential. Believing that language mastery is best achieved through teaching, Richard has dedicated part of his life to being an ESL teacher in Ecuador, where he has resided for seven years.
