Tony Wolf passed away at 88. Wolf's career is closely linked to the Dami publishing house, to the point that the illustrator has almost become its illustrated narrator. He had revealed that the idea of making those huge hardcover books had been his: since his illustrations for Dami often depicted dense forests of animals and gnomes, he liked the idea that the children were completely immersed in that vegetation, walking inside the pages in books as tall as they are.
