It is the passion of performance that fuels Pop/R&B artist Jordan
Setacci, ignited with catchy vocals, and a powerful urban dance style.
With influences ranging from Michael Jackson, to Maroon 5, to Michael
Buble, Jordan brings the Pop/R&B genre to a new level, with both high
energy tempos and heartfelt ballads. His undying enthusiasm allows
Jordan to immerse himself in 'song and dance', but also in songwriting,
producing and choreography, giving this 24 year old artist a unique
perspective and 'willing to try it all' attitude. Having being raised
in a tight-knit family in Thorold, Ontario, Jordan approaches life with
a grounded mindset and a laid back sense of humor.
Jordan has dedicated himself to 10 years of hip-hop training; 9 of
which have also been spent teaching children and adults. Early in
Jordan's career, his dancing abilities took the spotlight, earning
principal dance roles in the feature films: Honey, Save The Last Dance
2, Felicity: An American Girl Adventure, and more recently, Score: A
Hockey Musical, and Camp Rock 2. Jordan can also be seen in commercials
for So You Think You Can Dance Canada and Kellogg's Corn Pops. .With
only being in the professional dance world for 3 years Jordan was
fortunate enough to special guest appear on Canadian Idol, share the
stage with Nelly Furtado at the 2006 Much Music Video Awards, and open
for Destiny's Child while on tour with Keshia Chante. His recent
highlighted performances include Slice's: Party Mama's and seasons 5 &
6 of So You Think You Can Dance USA.
From a very young age Jordan has been belting out Frank Sinatra tunes
with his dad. As Jordan matured, so did his natural talent for singing;
his rich vocal abilities have recently become spotlighted as his keen
interest in songwriting grows. In June of 2009, Jordan released his
first single, titled "New Girl On The Block". The song received nearly
3,000 spins and over 3,000 online streams in only 6 weeks, gaining him
performance opportunities in LA and Southern Ontario. After the success
of his single, Jordan released his debut album titled Post No Bills in
January 2010. The album showcases Jordan's versatile songwriting and
production talents.
Musically, Jordan's success shows on many levels. His signature
songwriting and production style can be heard on Toronto's Flow 93.5FM
on YungN's "Neva Felt So Good", as well on a previously released
independent single called "Got Me Like" (co-written & co-produced by
Wiz Kilo) that reached high recognition in the prestigious
International Songwriting Competition. Jordan is constantly growing as
a musician; he has gained experience working with Canada's
singer/songwriter/producer Nasri Atweh, Canadian Idol's Orin Isaacs,
and Juno Nominee producer Adam Messinger.
Jordan Setacci's short and long term goals are united into one: to
completely immerse himself in his music, whether it's writing at home,
recording in the studio, or performing on stage.
