Kany J. Henry is a Congolese-born director and screenwriter, recognized in Cameroon and for his innovative approach to professional filmmaking using smartphones. Known for his distinctive touch in scriptwriter, he has gained prominence as the screenwriter for the series Les sentiers du bonheur (2016), the films Retour à la terre (2020), Jo Therapy (2020), Les Mythos (2019), Drug Addict (Au-délà de regrets), the short film "Et Si?", and many other notable projects.
In 2010, Kany founded KWG Films, where he has written and directed a variety of short films and web series, including Toi et moi, Kany Sisters (2021), and Fausse Promesse. His work with SGCM in Guinea as a screenwriter and director, Global Multi Media Prod in Cameroon as a screenwriter and assistant director has further solidified his reputation, contributing to projects like Retour à la terre (2020) and the series Les sentiers du bonheur (2016).
Armed with skills in video editing, 2D/3D animation, and scriptwriter, Kany continues to push the boundaries of visual storytelling. Today, he is a rising figure in African cinema, recognized for his dedication, discipline, and innovative approach.
