Joseph Francis Greco better know by his online alias Nautical, is an American Artist, Youtuber, Tiktoker, Internet personality, known mostly for his gaming, music and how-to videos. In 2020, Greco was placed on Spotify's "Viral on Internet" playlist with his song "Fargo Fargo". As of August 2021, his Youtube channel has amassed thousands of subscribers and a total of 100+ thousand video views across his multiple channels.
Joseph Francis Greco was born on 12 June 2003 in Florida and was raised by his parents John & Jennifer who home schooled him for most of his childhood. Greco attended Turtle River Montessori from 2nd Grade to his middle school years where his family would collectively decide to travel around the United States of America for the next 5 years. During this time, Greco studied computer graphics, animation, music production, and video editing.
Greco registered the "Nautical" Youtube channel on 13 December 2012 while he was still in elementary school. Though this was one of many names Greco would cycle through such as "Juvxcry", "mousetale", "Joseph Mouse", & "Red Monkey"; "Nautical" would be the name that stuck for the rest of his career. He explained that the name comes from the boating term "Nautical" but re-purposed as a "thrashing adjective". His early content primarily featured video game commentaries on trending games such as Minecraft & Terraria. Over time, his style of content diversified to include vlogs, game-plays, commentary, and story-time videos.
On 12 February 2018, Greco would start uploading his experimental lofi music to Soundcloud, starting his producing career. Under the name mousetrap, Greco began to gain traction on Soundcloud after gradually switching to hip-hop music which would feature himself and his brother, Marc "Greezy" Grimpe, on his profile. By 2019, Greco had accumulated his first 100k streams on Soundcloud from a now deleted single called "Aced". Greco continued to produce music until switching to his first record label Distrokid to then reach out to larger platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, etc.
In August 2020, Greco released his debut album "Thrills in the Casino", a 7 track album which consisted of him and his brother rapping about their rise and ambitions. Shortly after the release of his debut album, Greco returned back to his abandoned Youtube channel in October to start promoting the release of the album and return to making videos. As of August 2021, the album has accumulated 7 thousand streams across all streaming platforms and his Youtube channel has amassed thousands of subscribers as well as a total of 100+ thousand video views across his multiple channels.
