Andreas Wendt was born on March 24, 1988 in Dusseldorf, Germany. He is a TV host, producer and entrepreneur. Andreas Wendt finished his school after 11th grade and completed his training as a hair stylist & colorist.
At the age of 19 he opened his first own hair salon in Cologne, Germany. He ran six hairdressing salons and worked for fashion companies such as Hugo Boss. Numerous celebrities were among his clients.
In 2007 he started his television career at ProSieben. He became known nationwide through the program Der Salonretter - Waschen, schneiden, föhnen (2007). He visited struggling hair salons in Germany and whips the desperate stylists and salon owners back in shape. In 2011 Andreas Wendt launched his own hair care and styling line "Andreas Wendt Professional", which was available in TV shopping at HSE24 Germany, Austria, Switzerland, HSE24 Italy and IdealWorld UK.
In 2008 he won the "Salon of the month August" and the "Salon of the year" award. His salon "HAIR by Andreas Wendt" was also named "Top Location" by the city-magazine "PRINZ" six times in a row between 2008-2013. In 2011 his Salon "HAIR by Andreas Wendt" was certified as the first 5-star salon in Cologne by "Friseurklassifizierung Deutschland e.V.".
In 2012, Wendt resigned from the management of the hairdressing salons operating company. He moved to Luxembourg, completed a trainee ship in journalism and hosted the salon make-over show Neie Wand mam Wendt (2013) for RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg. It was the first production in which Wendt was involved as host and executive producer the same time.
Wendt was on screen for ProSieben from 2007 until 2020. His well-known mini-format SOS - Einsatz der Beauty-Retter (2017) was a huge success for ProSieben, reaching hundreds of millions of views online. Wendt worked as chief judge, host, and producer.
Since 2013 he works for RTL Deutschland as a beauty expert and host of Wendt - Der Salonretter (2014). Wendt is owning holiday apartments in Germany and Italy, he also invests in the stock market.
From 2024 until 2025 Wendt was a judge in the first season of the internationally successful TV show My Style Rocks Germany (2024) together with Harald Glööckler, Larissa Marolt and Sandra Bauknecht. The show was produced by acunmedya in Istanbul.
In March 2025, Andreas Wendt was elected to the Regional Board of the Center by the Democratic Party (DP) in Luxembourg.
Wendt lives in Luxembourg. He has citizenship of Germany and Luxembourg.
