James Kieran Nanavati was born and raised in New York City, and is
primarily a producer for underground hip hop in Harlem. Along with
acting and improvisation, he has recently delved into writing and
directing feature comedies, two of which will be released in 2006. He
has also been involved in score composition, as he will be scoring his
two upcoming features, and has provided music and score work for other
independent films such as his sister Reese Nanavati's urban drama
That Time of Year (2002).
