Aaliyah Nicole Jackson was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and raised in El Paso, Texas. She is an Australian director, actress, singer, songwriter, and cinematographer. She is known for projects such as The Life and Legacy of Aaliyah Nicole Jackson, The Sum: All Star Music Battle (2023), and When I Face the World Today (2020).
Aaliyah is the daughter of Jeannie Weber and Marcus W. Jackson. She is a mother to four children: Renée Marie, Joshua Lee, Kyrah Ivy, and Estelle Josephine.
On 29 September 2013, she married Christopher Mark Jackson. She relocated to Sydney on 14 April 2019, gained permanent residency, and became an Australian citizen on 11 June 2025. Nine days later, she formally renounced her American citizenship.
On 18 January 2026, Aaliyah Nicole Jackson gave birth to her daughter, Estelle Josephine, via emergency c-section due to complications from severe preeclampsia, a life-saving procedure for both her and her daughter.
