Daenya is a native of Kingston, Jamaica. A former Miss Teen Jamaica,
she was also a nominee for Best Actress in a Lead Role in the Actor Boy
Awards (the Jamaican equivalent to the Tonys) for her role as Christine
in Phantom (an adaptation of the Phantom of the Opera). She has been
involved in several film, television & theatre projects. Her most
recent film credits include Sarah in the independent short film
Inertia, the West Indian Girl in Swallow (2003) & herself in The Acting Class,
a TV pilot.
