Dayna Pereira was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she attended Springdale Jr/Sr High School before graduating from Fox Chapel Area High School in 2000. She relocated to San Diego, California in 2001 and has called it home ever since. Dayna has four children and has been married to Joseph Pereira since November 7, 2015.

Drawing from a tumultuous past, Dayna developed a comedic voice rooted in honesty, resilience, and self-improvement. Her first podcast, That Trophy Wife Life (2019), explored imperfection through humor and quickly resonated with audiences, charting in Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, and beyond. She later went on to host additional popular series including Where’s Our Participation Trophy, UnBadding, and The Dirty Little Secrets Club, and has made regular appearances as a comedy guest on multiple established podcasts. She has also dabbled in stand-up comedy, using the stage as another avenue for storytelling and laughter.

In 2026, Dayna authored the children’s book, "Freddi’s Song", inspired by family, creativity, love, and loss. She has also authored two additional titles.

Most recently, Dayna became the creator and host of Loreplay, a globally charting podcast blending history, folklore, true crime, and dark comedy. Loreplay has earned international recognition for its irreverent voice, immersive research, and narrative storytelling, appearing on charts across multiple countries.
