I believe every person has a unique story, and storytelling is what connects us as people. It is the diversity of thought, culture, and experience that reveals the beauty within humanity. I have made it my life's work to capture that beauty through film and creative storytelling. I am Tyrone Nelson Jr., proud owner of The Newviews Agency, a Richmond-based marketing, PR, and production company dedicated to bringing stories to life through powerful visuals and meaningful campaigns.
At age 17, I graduated from Highland Springs High School and J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College simultaneously, earning both my diploma and associate degree before enrolling at Virginia Commonwealth University. There, I pursued my passion for Marketing, Film, and Creation, earning a degree in Marketing Communication and Analytics by the age of 19. My educational journey continued through certificate programs at Yale University (Financial Markets), University of Virginia (Personal Branding), University of Pennsylvania (Viral & Social Media Marketing), and Imperial College London (Creative Thinking), each sharpening my creative and strategic approach.
Storytelling has always been my language. In 2020, I earned my first Virginia Press Association awards for Best Multimedia in Show and Best Video of the Year. My professional path has also taken me through remarkable organizations such as The Federal Reserve Bank, The U.S. House of Representatives, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Dominion Energy, experiences that deepened my understanding of communication at every level.
In 2017, I founded what would become The Newviews Agency (formerly Newviews Productions), a company built on the belief that creativity is both art and universal language. Since then, our team has collaborated with major brands including Adidas, Porsche, Sentara Health, GRTC, and VCU, producing award-winning campaigns and community-driven narratives that bridge artistry with impact.
In 2025, our original short film Echoes of a Dream earned the Audience Choice Award for Best Short Film at the Richmond International Film Festival, marking a milestone moment for our studio and the stories we strive to tell.
As a leader, I aim to embody creativity, inspiration, and strategy, not only building a successful business but also a platform where stories from all walks of life can be told, celebrated, and used to spark real change.
