Vichara Dany was born Thith Vichara Dany sometime in 1948 in Cambodia. She was a popular Cambodian actress who most likely made her debut in 1967. She starred in a majority of films in the 1960's and early 1970's. She is often paired on screen with fellow actor Kon Samoeun. In only a span of at least seven years she is credited to have starred in over one hundred films. Details of her life are relatively unknown and she is believed to have perished shortly after the rise of the Khmer Rouge regime. Exact circumstances are still unknown.
Another version is that she may have perished just after the Khmer Rouge regime fell from power during or just after the Vietnamese invaded Cambodia. This version posits that she had been married to a Khmer Rouge cadre. By the time Vietnamese forces had invaded Cambodia in 1978, Vichara had escaped from her captors and was heading back to Phnom Penh. Along the way she is said to have died of complications during childbirth sometime in 1978 in Pursat Province, Cambodia.
