Film music composer Michael Patterson is one of today's most unique and
versatile composers. From his poignant and masterful orchestral score
to the award winning CBS Special 9/11, the extraordinary hybrid Jazz -
Electronica score to the award winning film Freeze Out, the extremely
diverse and rich sci-fi score parody to the comedy The Helix: Loaded,
whimsical themes for the outrageous comedy Stone & Ed and the brooding
score for the multi-festival winning suspense drama Something For
Nothing.
Patterson's broad musical palette stems from both European and
contemporary American traditions. His talents began as a rock guitar
player. Followed by studies in electronic music, Jazz and 20th century
composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston. After graduating and
beginning his career composing for Television in New York, Michael
found himself in high demand contributing his talents to numerous
programs for PBS, HBO and all major networks as well as countless cable
shows. In 2003 Patterson moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in
film scoring.
In a relatively short period of time, the film composer's talents have
won the respect of directors and producers alike.
