Cameron Peter Pillitteri was born in West Islip, New York to Amy Herschl, a dietician, and Carl Pillitteri, a physician. He moved to Belfast, Maine at the age of 7 and found his passion for acting when his 2nd-grade teacher asked him to play the lead in a class reading of The Polar Express. He pursued his craft at Penn State, earning a BFA in Acting in 2020. After graduating during the pandemic, he was discovered by CBS casting associates in a nationwide senior showcase featuring footage of him in a university production of Angels in America. In 2021, Cameron broke out into the New York City theater scene, leading several Off-Off-Broadway productions. His performance as an abusive boyfriend in the 2022 viral YouTube video "Don't Provoke Me" earned him widespread acclaim.
