Harsányi is a filmmaker and cinematographer with a BFA in Film and Television from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where he earned an athletic scholarship and multiple academic honors. Passionate about visual storytelling, he specializes in creating compelling and impactful content across various genres and platforms.
His career includes work with top-tier production companies such as Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, Skydance, Sony, Legendary, and Marvel, as well as collaborations with major distributors like Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, Apple TV, and Disney+. As a member of IATSE ICG Local 600, he has gained extensive experience operating a range of camera systems, from cranes and arm cars to drones, while working alongside acclaimed directors, actors, and crew members. Notable productions he has contributed to include Dune, Maria, House of Spoils, and Echo.
After completing a five-year program in the U.S., Harsányi returned to his homeland, Budapest, Hungary, to immerse himself in European cinema and gain further experience in the Hungarian film industry. He has since worked on local productions such as Futni Mentem, Egykutya, Marsra Magyar, and Rise of the Raven, while also pursuing his own creative projects.
He recently restarted his studies towards his Master of Arts (MA) degree in Film Cinematography at Hungary's most prestigious film school, at the University of Theatre and Film Arts of Budapest. His goal is to continue developing his skills and knowledge in filmmaking, expand his network around this region, and to explore new opportunities and challenges in the global film market.
