Ómar Bernal was born June 28, 2000 in Bogotá, Colombia. youngest son of Ómar Bernal, presser and Mónica Castaño, theatrical makeup artist, raised in the town of Fontibón in the capital with his older sisters; Leidy Bernal and Paula Bernal. He grew up in an environment influenced by Catholicism due to the school where he studied until high school; Instituto La Anunciación de Fontibón.
Bernal studied Film and Television career (cinema career) at Escuela de Artes y Ciencias de la Comunicación of Corporación Universitaria Unitec.
Bernal showed interest in the arts due to his mother who, being a theatrical makeup artist, took him to the Colsubsidio Roberto Arias Perez Theater to see the musicals of the Misi company since he was seven years old.
