Robert A. Goins Shropshire aka (RAGS and Pastor Rob Shropshire) is a native of Cincinnati Ohio, and founder of the A-Game Writers Music Publishing Company, a sub-division of Longevity RAGS Entertainment.
Robert began his musical journey at the age of 10 years old under the direction of his highly Spiritual maternal Grandmother Rev. Mother Louise Shropshire, The original author of the iconic freedom song "We Shall Overcome" It was the years playing instruments and singing with the choir in church and his Mothers taste for the more popular music of the day, that developed his ear,style and love for music.
In 1988 four years after High School and his recovery from a near fatal car crash in Pomona California's Mount Baldy, Robert was introduced to famed music producer Leon F. Sylvers III, who took him under his wing and taught him the fundamentals of recording and music production, as well as the business of making a living in music.
In 1992 Robert released his first album with R&B group "Double Action Theatre (DAT)" on the Polydor records label and the first single off the album "Something Special" which was written and produced by Rob and Grammy award winning producer Isaias Gamboa, made its way to the top 100 R&B and Hip Hop singles charts in Billboard.
In 2006 after the death of his mother Darlene Shropshire Robert founded Longevity RAGS Entertainment to be a valid opportunity for young unknown artist who have a desire to have honest career in music.
In July of 2012 Robert founded the Louise Shropshire Publishing House to publish books and Spiritual literature, to edify the souls of all who who would ingest the material.
In May of 2014 he added the A-Game Writers Music Publishing Company to the record company, In that same year he founded the A-Game Writers Song Placement team which
consisted of young songwriters and music producers who have had some success and experience in the music industry, and he commissioned them to write and produce songs to be played in various films and motion pictures.
