Rousy Dundakov was born on October 26, 1944 in Burgas, Bulgaria. "The artist with fountains died!" It sounds strange, even ridiculous for the sculptor who created so many different products - from dummy figures of cinema to historical monuments in bronze and stone. But fountains remembered as a kind of synthesis of his work, which most closely represents the thinking and attitude towards art, culture, tradition, knowledge... He determined his works as "tasks": they were challenges that demanded his full commitment and focus. Each was previous a lot of reading, thinking, use experience, gathering new knowledge. To reach the only and best solution to the specific task - just for her - as a whole and in detail. Moreover, important work was precisely, not he: Rousy Dundakov was one of the few artists in which his own ego as if it hardly mattered. Therefore fountains that he had not signed (except one - because the young man that had worked), seen as an emblem of the artist. In them he was "master" - a word that it was more expensive and more of a real "artist." Made fountains with all due respect to tradition, which has invested in them with a feeling of sacredness, with the understanding of memory that transferred in time - with invigorating their current utility for people ...
