Hailing from New Jersey but raised in Pennsylvania, PAD started out fan-writing a SF/Star Trek fanzine and scripting parody plays for conventions. Originally tried to work in Journalism but finally got a job at Marvel Comics as Assistant Direct Sales Manager. He wrote some "fill-in" issues (Spider-Man) and eventually got to the point where he was the regular writer for several prominent Marvel titles. He lives on Long Island, writing comic books, novels, TV and movie scripts.
