Actress Carole Cook showed a knack for comic timing from early on, so
much so that the legendary Lucille Ball took her on as a protégée. Cook
would make many appearances on Ball's TV shows Hoppla Lucy! (1962) and
Here's Lucy (1968), as well as other shows like Magnum (1980), Der Denver-Clan (1981), and
Grey's Anatomy: Die jungen Ärzte (2005). She would also appear in several movies, like Das darf man nur als Erwachsener (1984) and Die Kühe sind los (2004), while maintaining an active stage career and supporting many AIDS charities.
