Margaret Colin was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised on Long Island. She graduated from Baldwin Senior High School in 1976. Margaret began acting in The Edge of Night (1956) (her character was a heiress and former terrorist, with seven murder attempts), and was employed next on Jung und Leidenschaftlich - Wie das Leben so spielt (1956), portraying character Margo Montgomery.
