Composer, conductor, and arranger, educated at Wesleyan University, St. John's College at Annapolis, and the University of South Carolina. He was an arranger for the orchestras of Harry Reser, Carmen Dragon, and Meredith Willson, and also for the Merry Macs and the King Sisters. He served as a United States Navy officer in World War II, then from 1953 was a conductor and arranger for CBS Radio. In 1961, he became a realtor. Joining ASCAP in 1956, his popular-song compositions include "If You Cared".
