Composer, author, conductor and teacher, he was a composer for ABC and
for films. As an educator, he held a BA in philosophy and an MA in
economics., and taught economics at USC, and he was an assistant
professor of economics and a music lecturer at Los Angeles State
College. He joined ASCAP in 1953.
