  • Profession: Composer, Actor, Director
Pat Canavan is a Canadian singer-songwriter, director, and multidisciplinary media artist with over three decades of experience in music, film, and television. A dynamic storyteller across platforms, Pat is the creator, director, and host of Confessions of a Rock'n'Roll Cameraman-a standout docuseries revealing the raw, untold stories behind the rise of MuchMusic, drawn from rare archival footage and first-hand accounts from the heart of Canada's music scene.

Pat is launching The Gratitude Show, a media-meets-mindfulness series blending original music, metaphysical insight, and transformational storytelling. He's also completed the pilot for Lightbound, a dark comedy procedural about AI, afterlife tech, and family secrets set to challenge how we think about identity, memory, and what it means to live on.

Pat's music catalogue spans more than 300 original songs distributed across all major platforms in over 170 countries. He rose to prominence as the frontman of U4EA, earning two Canadian Top 20 hits, including the RPM-charting singles "Don't Take It Away" and "Mystery." His later projects-600, HERE, and The Tundra (featuring Gary Lalonde of Honeymoon Suite)-solidified his reputation for hook-heavy, emotionally resonant songwriting. Pat's music has been licensed in award-winning short films, national advertising campaigns, and global streaming content.

Behind the camera, Pat wrote and directed the indie cult feature Stump the Guru (2005), as well as numerous music videos and branded campaigns for major Canadian clients including Canadian Tire, CIBC, and Jumpstart Charities. Through his production company, New Life Media Inc., Pat continues to push boundaries and elevate Canadian voices with soul, humour, and cinematic edge.

With a career rooted in creativity and elevated by vision, Pat Canavan delivers work that resonates-onstage, onscreen, and beyond.
