Scott Borden
  • Date of birth: 1979
  • Profession: Actor, Producer, Writer
Scott Borden is an actor, writer, and podcaster whose work blends comedy, chaos, and catharsis. Known for sharp comedic timing and energetic, character-forward performances, he has appeared across television, film, national commercial campaigns, and theater.

Netflix viewers can catch him as Harry in Mindy Kaling’s comedy Running Point starring Kate Hudson, and opposite Jamie Foxx as Chad Connolly in the multicam Dad, Stop Embarrassing Me. Borden was recently tapped by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Ben Affleck to star alongside them in their self-produced projects-Johnson’s ZOA "Big Dwayne Energy" campaign and Affleck’s DunKings 2.0 Super Bowl film. He is known as MasterCard’s "Dancing Intern" from the iconic Priceless campaign, which aired during a second Super Bowl, the Academy Awards, and the Grammy Awards, reaching more than 300 million viewers. Additional national commercial work includes principal roles for Capital One, NBC, Best Buy, AT&T, Bacardi, and the NFL.

As a writer, Borden has completed his debut feature BI-an autobiographical indie that explores mental health, sexuality, and race with biting humor and emotional honesty-and is currently shopping the project to producers and representation. The film represents the intersection of his creative lanes as both writer and actor. His earlier experimental musical Exposing Myself ran for 12 weeks at the Comedy Central Stage and was praised by LA Weekly as "hilarious, wildly imaginative, and hysterically offensive."

With an instinct for offbeat character stories, his short films have screened at festivals across the U.S., and his stage work spans nearly 30 regional productions, including an award-winning staging of Stephen Sondheim’s A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, which earned six Broadway World Award nominations-including Best Performer in a Musical and Best Direction of a Musical for Borden-and won Best Special Event.

Borden is the creator and host of The Lovable Lunatic (@LoveLoonPod). "Podcast Outside, Sitcom Inside," the self-described "showpod" blends candid conversation, satire, scripted comedy, and anecdotal field trips. He has been featured by major outlets including BuzzFeed, Entertainment Tonight, NBC Nightly News, and The Huffington Post.
