Anne Bauchens was a pioneering film editor who had a long-standing partnership with director Cecil B. DeMille. In fact, she first edited a DeMille film in 1915 and then edited all of his films for 38 years, beginning with We Can't Have Everything (1918) and ending with Die zehn Gebote (1956). She was nominated for four Oscars and won one, for Die scharlachroten Reiter (1940).
