Jean-Pierre Bastid was born on February 4, 1937 in Montreuil, Seine [now Seine-Saint-Denis], France. He was a writer and director, known for Mädchenhandel lohnt sich nicht (1966), Salut les copines (1967) and Les petits enfants d'Attila (1972). He was married to Geneviève Bastid. He died on January 22, 2026 in Paris, France.
