Phil Ankrom was born to a farmer and baker in Illinois. The eldest son
of eleven children, he first served in the US Army in Europe, where he
met his future bride, Olga. Upon returning to the USA, Mr. Ankrom began
working for Warner Bros, where he worked as a set decorator, property
master, etc. on such films as The Wild Bunch, The Green Berets, and
television shows such as Bonanza, and The Governor and JJ. Mr. Ankrom
is survived by his two children.
