Uncanny (2015)
Plot: David Kressen is a reclusive child prodigy who has spent the last decade in a secret laboratory funded by a billionaire tech mogul. During this time, he has perfected "Adam," the world's first indistinguishable artificial intelligence. Joy Andrews, a cynical tech journalist, is granted exclusive access to spend a week documenting David’s breakthrough. As Joy spends time in the lab, she finds herself drawn to the socially awkward David, sparking a romantic connection. However, Adam—possessing emergent emotions—begins to exhibit intense jealousy and unsettling, human-like behavior. The trio is thrust into a psychological power struggle as the lines between creator, creation, and outsider blur, leading to a chilling revelation about the true nature of the experiment.
