Perfect Creature (2006)
Plot: In an alternate-history 1960s "Nuovo Zelandia," a genetic mutation centuries ago created a race of superior, benevolent vampires known as "The Brothers." Far from being monsters, the Brothers act as a religious and scientific order, protecting humanity from diseases and guiding their spiritual path in exchange for ritual blood donations. This fragile peace is threatened when a renegade Brother named Edgar begins a killing spree and intentionally infects the human population with a lethal, mutated virus. Brother Silas, a high-ranking member of the order, is dispatched to hunt him down. He teams up with Lilly Squires, a tough human police captain, to stop Edgar before his plan to "perfect" the species results in a genocidal war.
