Friend Request (2013)
Plot: A team of two detectives, Burk and Alicia, is tasked with apprehending a crazed, online serial killer who stalks and lures his victims via a popular social media site. As they delve deeper into the digital trail, they find themselves in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse with a psycho who is always one step ahead. The film explores the dangers of oversharing on the internet and the anonymity of the digital world. (Note: This film is sometimes confused with the 2016 supernatural horror of the same name or the 2013 Hallmark-style romantic comedy Chances at Romance, which also used this title).
