Plot: Lynn Travis is known as the best baker in Morton, Illinois—the "Pumpkin Capital of the World." When Pierce Morton, the high-powered CEO of the Morton Pumpkin Company, announces a massive bake-off with a $1 million prize to celebrate the town’s 200th anniversary, Lynn is the local favorite to win. However, her plans are complicated when her movie-star sister leaves her niece, Julie, in her care for the summer.
